Colton's Adoption Day Pictures

August 29 - FOREVER FAMILY DAY

Friday, August 29th was one of the best days of our lives. On that day we all three went to court and finalized Colton's adoption....YEA!!!

No more paperwork, questions or homestudy's - He is ours forever!!! Not that we needed anyone to make it official in our hearts or for our family but as far as the courts concerned, he belongs to J and I forever. I will post pictures of our special day tonight or tomorrow.

We had a celebration for Colton at my Mom's house on Friday night and I think he was overwelmed! I have never seen him get shy but he had so many people around him at once I don't think he could process it all.

Our First Easter

When you wait for as long as I have for a child you spend many hours dreaming of how you will spend holidays. Sometimes this is a curse because your dreams of a perfect holiday almost never happen! For J and I this Easter was as perfect as our dreams!!! We went to church Saturday night and Colton was dressed in his bunny attire. He was not the only bunny at church but defiantly the cutest!!! To stand beside J as he held Colton and we worshiped was awesome!! Colton was so good in church. He loves music so as we sang he held his head up and looked around at everyone around us and the lights.
Sunday we went to my Mom and Dad's house (Granna and Poppy). Colton was really good all day and in a good mood, which you can see in the pictures. He was happy to be held by Georgia and Aunt Kay.
I had so much fun putting together his Easter basket. He got a stuffed bunny, Baby Einstein video and a rubber ducky for bath time.
J thought the Valentine's outfit and the bunny outfit was torchure to Colton. I told J that I only have a few holidays that I can dress Colton they way I want and I will enjoy, besides they will make great wedding day photo's!!!!

First Smile....

We received our first smile from Colton about two weeks ago. I tried multiple times to catch it on camara but it never worked out. Daddy finally got it on camara a couple of days ago!!! It is the sweetest smile ever!!!!

I must go because that smiling boy in the picture above....Well, not so much at the moment.

Colton's shower was on the 16th. Many thanks to those that attended on such a cold, rainy and nasty day! It was so great to share Colton with everyone.
Special thanks to Alicia, Karissa, Pam, Pam, Susan, Rebecca and my Mom for putting together such a special day for Colton, Juan and I. We will remember it always.
